Dual monitor display troubleshooting

Testing the KVM Output Monitors

If you have at least 1 video connection from each computer then using the Hybrid  Hybrid Mode feature (each computer on each monitor) you can test the KVMs output to the monitors. Both displays should work when Mode 2 is active. This confirms the KVM output is working fine.

Only one Monitor is working for your computer?

If only one monitor is working for you computer, make sure you have both video connections from the computer to the KVM. A single HDMI video connection cannot be split/extended to both monitors. Recommended adapters may be necessary You may already have adapters but we are aware that not all adapters work well in a KVM environment, this is due to the bandwidth power of the certain chips in the adapters. The KVM adds an extra layer for the video to jump through, some adapters cannot support too much power.

One computer works with both monitors but the other computer doesn't?

If one computer is working perfectly with both monitors but the other computer isn't and you have the two video connections then then you can swap the working computer over to the other input of the KVM. If the computer works fine on both inputs of the KVM then we know the KVM is working fine and the issue is related to the other computer. It can be an adapter issue or setting on the computer. Contact us, we'll help you figure out the issue.
