If your mouse and keyboard are not working when connected to the KVM make sure you have the USB connection properly connected from the computer to the KVM. See image below.

The USB connection is necessary for the computer to communicate with the peripherals connected through the KVM.

If you have a laptop that doesn't have USB-A ports to connect the USB you may need a USB-A to C adapter or USB-B to C cable adapter

When the USB connection is not active the KVM will blink a green light in the "PC 1" or "PC 2" light indicators in the front of the device.
